My grade

This maybe is my last posting in this class. I have written about English study ways and I got a lot of phrases, knowledge and ways to study English.
Among all my posting, I like the article about Audrey Hepburn’s saying.
Her saying is

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others;
For beautiful lips, speak only word of kindness; and
For poise, walk for with the knowledge that you are never alone.

I like this word since I was a high school student, but when I wrote a article about her saying, I thought once again this phrase is beautiful.
Like this, I think language has a cheerful power. Both English and Japanese which is my mother tongue have each good point.

So I want to know more and more English. English is prevalent in all over the world. The skill of English makes it possible that I communicate with not only Japanese but foreigners.
So I thought that I wanted to find ways to get English skills through my blog.

But in this class, I couldn’t post 2 articles in a week. So if I give me grade, I will C to me.
But I learned a lot of useful tools of English so I try to use them.
I’m satisfied with this class.
Thank you for checking my blog.

American English and British English

As I have written on previous post, I’m going to England in March. I been to America once but I never been to England so I’m looking forward to go there.
But now I know that English have some types. For example, they are America and England English. I know the differences of them little so I searched the differences between American English and British English.
To day’s posting is about words.

English and American use different words.

America
England
Fall
Autumn
映画
Movie
Film
映画館
Movie theater
Cinema
クッキー
Cookie
Biscuit
ゴミ
Trash
Radish
名字
Last name
Surname

Like this, even if the words have same meaning, English and American use different words.
Next is about grammar.

No, 1
You are better off not knowing

In this phrase, I want to keep in mind the using of “better off”
Better off means on other words that “Make better” or “go well”
This formative will be useful.

No, 2
The early bird catches the worm

Worm means insects. In Japanese, this phrase has some meanings. This is connected with waking up early.

Try guessing meanings of these phrases.

Interesting words

I found some Interesting English words. These phrases are used with some words have some different meanings so I confused when I read these words. Maybe you will be wondering what you are saying.
